Dr. Robert Lufkin is from Abington, Pennsylvania and a graduate of Roger Williams College. He attended the Hahnemann Medical School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After medical school he completed residency training at the Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is a board certified emergency medicine physician and worked at the Largo Medical Center Emergency Department in Largo, Florida for 17 years prior to joining Doctors Express of St. Petersburg in September, 2011.
A 32 year resident of St. Petersburg, Dr. Lufkin has been married for 31 years and has 3 children. His wife, Loida, is a forensic counselor in the Tampa Bay area. His eldest son, Ariel, is an internal medicine resident physician at Tampa General Hospital. His daughter, Adrienne, is a personal trainer and professional dancer in New York City. His youngest son, Alexander, is an Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic student.
Dr. Lufkin is active in the community and has participated in the Big Brother, Big Sister program for over 10 years. He is also a volunteer at the St. Petersburg Free Clinic.
